Just to let you know: If you upgrade your Windows 7 from Start or Home Premium to Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate, you actually are also getting a Free XP Mode, Windows Virtual PC.
Before, I would load Virtual PC, which then I needed to pull out a VALID XP Disc and Serial Number, and to the hour or so loading of XP, then do the updates, etc.
Now, it is included … Thank Goodness. FYI, I loaded it to run older software that is not compatible with Vista or Win7, and it does run on XP Mode. Also, XP mode allows standard AntiVirus, Firefox, etc, and all windows updates thru SP3, so now you can have your Windows 7 and XP too!

Quick fix for a non-booting Mac computer. It would start up, grey Apple logo and all, but the initial spinning icon, would just spin for as long as I let it before turn off.
After a bit of research, I decided to try DiskWarrior: Fixed. It found my User was not located on my desktop, and many corrupt headers that needed correction. NOW, it boots. Ran it again, it found a couple of non-issue fixes, so did that also.
Highly recommend it for a non-booting mac. Now I will back up for sure, to an External hard drive, or online media. But at least I was able to put it back right where it was, and didn’ t have to rebuild everything. Thanks DW!

Try it out. It does load faster; It claims that it has more features than Firefox or Chrome, BUT, I will still use all three. Loads faster and IE9 is comparable to Mozillas Firefox 4, but I still will use all three.
Find it at: http://microsoft.com/ie or http://www.filehippo.com/search?q=ie9 for the different version of what O/S you are using.
If you don’t know what version your computer is, Right Click on My Computer, Click on Properties and it will tell you your computers O/S and it will either say 64 bit, or 32 bit; if it does now tell you… you computer is 32 bit. IE 9 does not work on XP; IE8 is the best on that older O/S. PS: XP is not supported unless it it SP3, so keep those updates, up to date. Vista is only supported with SP2.
Another reason to upgrade: IE9 also do not ASK you for permissions like IE8, IE7, Vista and the others always bug you with that Permissions Prompt; even when logged on as administrator in WordPress when adding Text HyperLinks, IE8 and below always Asks Permission; IE 9 just does it, and saves a few more mouse clicks to get the job done.
Better than IE7 and IE8, but you may need to right click on the top blank area to turn on menus you are used too, like Favorites bar, or RoboForms, Command bar, and/or Status bar, at the bottom. They do work with all my trial Add-on’s. Enjoy.

A quick reminder: Ctrl + the ‘+’ sign, repeatedly equals larger Internet Explorer Screens,
Ctrl + “-’ or the minus sign will show you a smaller screen. 100% is normal view;
if my notebook is on the table, not my desktop, and I am squinting my eyes to see it, I can “Ctrl +” to enlarge and “Ctrl -” to reduce.
Hopes this helps as many different website have their fonts listed so small, the Ctrl + a few times, read the article, Ctrl – will reduce it back to normal viewing.
This works on IE7, 8 or 9, Firefox 3.x or 4.x, and Chrome.

Today Firefox was updated from 3.6.15 to 3.6.16, but also, Firefox 4 is out of beta. It is faster and has many new features, BUT make sure you are not dependent on certain addons that may not work with Version 4 yet. They will be updating soon, I am sure.
There is even an opening video explaining the new features… Enjoy! http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/video/?video=fx4-features
Here is a link to a TOUR: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/central/

Just learned a feature I did not know of before. I do a lot of excel, and word docs, 2010 is my current version:
Click on File, Recent, and there is your recent document list, and to the right is a picture of a Push Pin; Click on it and it moves it to the top and now your Favorite documents are always Pinned to the top of Most Recent documents list. Love it.

yes… when I use my mac, I sometimes forget the key combinations to use Right Click for Menu’s like on Windows. Solution: Hook up a usb mouse or trackball, and vwalaa, a great increase in speed and less button pushing on the mac keyboard. Yeah! My performance is back a Grade A. Any two button mouse with roller ball with work.

Facebook, and Google Mail are an integral part of the Google Android Phone. Recommend chassis is made by HTC, with the Touch Screen bounce (like an iPhone, just HTC and Google o/s rather than Mac software. )
Just one fun thing: Take a picture with the 8mg, dual flash camera, and click share after a quick review, and boom: Online at FB. How simple.

yes, just for your own healthy computer notes: Every 2nd Tuesday Micro$oft release updates to all their O/S softwares.
And on Windows 7 and Vista, XP, we have new ones applied on Wednesday… Make sure your computer stays current on all but the Optional Windows Live Essentials, and Windows Search 4 (unless you use them.) On Windows 7 they made Windows Live an High Priority Update, instead of Optional updates, so when it installs, ONLY install the updates for what you already have installed, not the whole kit’n-cabootal.
